This week’s spotlight sermon is from Paul Carmody – Is Salvation A Free Gift To Us?  You can see more of this series by clicking here.

The answer to the question, “Is salvation a free gift?” is a resounding yes! Paul Carmody tells us in this message that the only thing a sinner has to contribute to his salvation is the sin that make salvation necessary. The Bible calls are good works, “filthy rags”. It is not about what we do. It is about what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross at Calvary.

What Did Jesus Do?

Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and was without sin. He then gave his life on the cross so that we could spend eternity with God The Father, Jesus The Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ paid the price for all of our wrong doings, past, present, and future over 2000 years ago. He bore the sin weight of the world on Himself for those who accept, believe, follow, and trust in Him. After dying on the cross, he rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. We are saved by grace and faith in Him alone, not by our works. It is a free gift for all of those who will except it.
